Introduction:

I served several years as an activity therapist and I spent many hours, evenings and weekends, searching for information that would help me provide entertaining and worth-while activities for the participants. Often, for one simple group activity, I would spend endless time reviewing web sties that were not helpful until fiding bits and pieces from several different sites that I could combine into the one activity that I wanted.

All Activities LTC, is intended to give the activity therapist everything required to facilitate a meaningful activity, all on one site. The suggestions are provided, but so are the directions, the patterns, photographic examples, the recipes, the word lists, the songs, everything you need in one place. Simply print what you need, and you are ready to go.

The Montessori activities do require the acquisition of small manipulative parts. These are easily and cheaply acquired from a thrift store or a dollar store.

Many of the activities are intended for a small group of 3 to 6 participants, but can easily be modified for a single participant so, if health restrictions, or other issues, are in place that prohibit group activities, you still have many one-on-one activities to choose from.

Facilitation suggestions are given at the introduction to each activity. They are only suggestions, but they are taken from experience of performing the activity several times and finding what worked best.

Once you have printed the material(s) you need, if it is a playing card, such as bingo, or if the material is a collection of labels or words that will be used more than once, be sure to laminate your item before use.

You can make your own bingo-type games but producing the cards is tedious. Each player’s card must be different from every other person’s card by at least one picture/word/or number card. Therefore, being able to copy a set already made for you is a great time saver.

I hope you find this site helpful. Enjoy!
