This activity often requires more time for thought. Provide the time needed and if the participant is having trouble with the word, ask him/her if they would like help from their neighbor.

Don’t give the answer yourself. If everyone appears stumped, tell them the second letter or the last letter. Provide additional clues if necessary but ensure the answer comes from a participant.

Although you will be taking turns (it is the best way to provide participation from everyone), all players want to see the word in question. After showing the word to the player whose turn it is, move the word card around the table so everyone has a chance to see it. Then return the word card to the original player.
