The concept of this game can be hard for some participants to understand and passing something on to another player can be a difficult task. To facilitate this game, play the music loudly, make sure it is an up-tempo beat, and stop the music often so the participants have the opportunity to learn what is expected of them. When the music stops, the participants holding the “potato” will be required to wear the silly hat until the next person is caught with the potato.
