These pictures are great fun and the participants had many laughs over the pictures.  There is a bit of work involved in getting the prints ready for the participants, but it is worth the effort.

First, take some photos, headshots, of those who want to participate.  Then run the photo off the camera so you have a 5×5 or 6×6 picture to work with.  You could also place the actual photo on a copy machine and run a black and white print of the size desired.  Hold the print up to a lighted window, place a plain sheet of copy paper over top, and trace the print with a black marker.  You want a size that will allow 4 pictures on one work sheet.  Make four copies of your print.  Glue them onto a piece of tag board and then trim the tag board to match the size of the pictures.  Once the glue has dried, the pictures are ready to color.  Markers work best for their brightness of color.

Participants choose four colors plus pink (skin).  The same four colors are used throughout the process.  Participants color one picture with a green background, yellow shirt, and orange hair.  The second picture might have a yellow background, blue shirt, and green hair.  The third will have a blue background, orange shirt, and yellow hair.  Hair and lips are the same color and the face is always pink.  Once on display, viewers smile and laugh out loud but nearly everyone recognizes the photos!
