Table-go-round is played at a large round table.  It was designed for the more cognitively involved resident who would not benefit from current events or Bible study.

Gather your players around the table.  Provide the medium of play.  This could be beach balls, hand-blown balloons, or balloons filled with helium that contain a marble to keep them from drifting away.

The object of the activity is to keep the items (balls or balloons) moving and on the table.  Be prepared for considerable running as you return lost balls and balloons to the playing surface!  Use numerous items at the same time, 5 or 6 beach balls or varying sizes or 5 to 6 balloons.

Residents who are often seen sitting in their wheelchairs in their rooms or at the nurse’s station might benefit from this activity.  Play some party music like Kids Dance Party, the Beach Boys, or other 60’s fast music.  This is a really fun activity but the therapist must be in tune for the fun.
