Balloon volleyball can be played by most residents. You need a large space, balloons, and chairs for all the players. Wheelchairs are fine. The barricade need not be a net but if you have one that’s good. If you do not have a net you can use a clothesline rope, twine, even yarn. A twenty foot span is good and allows room for all players to swat at the balloons safely. For poles, you could use build in room columns or microphone stands raised to the highest position. Music stands could also work. The “net” doesn’t have to be high, it simply needs to be a dividing point that people can see so bright colored cordage is best.
Rules are lax. You can play for points or just play for fun. Players are simply trying to keep the balloons from touching the floor. More balloons means more fun so play with five or six at a time! This game provides great upper body therapy and lots of laughs!
