This is a fun summer party or, if the winter gets too long, throw a beach party in January! Decorate the tables with bright umbrella colored plastic covers; red, yellow, blue, and green. Miniature beach balls on each table gave the party goers some fun entertainment while waiting for the main event. Sea shells scattered on each table were also fun and, if you can find a conch, attendees loved listening to the surf! Large brightly colored ocean life decorated the walls; salt water fish, star fish, whales, octopi, crabs, and lobsters… A couple large beach balls were bounced from table to table. The Beach Boys “Sounds of Summer” CD played in the background. Flip flops were decorated with flowers and a letter painted on each one to spell out “BEACH PARTY”. These were strung onto a heavy cord and displayed on the wall along with fish nets. We were able to acquire a large inflatable octopus with arms that acted as catchers for tossed inflatable rings.
