This is a game that is good for 3-4-5 players. No special skills are required. Each player is given a set of parts that, when assembled, will represent a jack-o-lantern. A deck of cards is placed in the center of the table. (For ease of moving the deck closer to each player for easy access, place the deck on a piece of tag board that can then be easily moved about the table.) Players take turns drawing one card. hey must first draw a “pumpkin” card before they can begin to assemble the face. After one draw, play moves to the next person. Once a player has the pumpkin, parts can be added in any order.
There are several printed cards with directions such as, “steal one body part”. These can be left in the deck or removed to make the game easier, longer lasting, or simply to add interest. If the player drawing the card has no part to lose, ignore the directive. If the card said to “steal a body part”, but the player drawing that card has no pumpkin on which to play the part, the part can still be stolen and then discarded. The first player to complete their jack-o-lantern is the winner.
