This is played the same as the age old children’s word game. To accommodate all the players, use a large dry erase board. A wall mounted board is great but a large board that can be brought to the group works equally as well.
It is important to choose words that will be familiar to your audience. Words related to farming, cooking and baking, child rearing, and school days are always good.
Print the alphabet across the top of the board so participants will have that visual cue when choosing letters. Erase each letter as it is chosen and place appropriate letters into the word spaces. Build a scaffold and then make the game as long or as short as necessary for the population of players. (A longer version can include buttons, hair, shoes, etc.). Make sure that players take turns.
