There is an old song called “Love and Marriage” and how they go together like a horse and carriage. There are many word pairs in our vocabulary and the next few pages list some of the more common pairs.
Facilitating this activity requires just a short explanation such as the one given above. It already includes an example. This is a rather fast moving activity so it is best played by asking the participants to take turns. So, be sure players understand that they only answer on their turn. Look directly at the individual whose turn it is and, if necessary, remind others that it is this players turn before giving the first word of the pair.
When words appear that could have secondary responses that would also be correct, ask the group for other possible answers.
When you have completed your list, ask if anyone can think of other word pairs that could be added.
