Matching Activities

This differs from sorting in that each item of the matched pair must look exactly like the other.  The individual is looking for the exact replica of the item he/she is holding and there is only one correct answer.  Items that can be matched include:

It can be most helpful if you are able to make items for matching.  Using tag board and markers you can make sets of cute animals, flowers, fish, household items, etc.  Color them brightly, cover with clear contact, and cut them out.  Keep them in a gallon size zip-lock bag.
